Dr. Zach Beckner

Hey there! I'm Dr. Zach Beckner. I was born in Ohio but moved to Murphy, North Carolina, when I was five. Ever since 5th grade, I've known I wanted to be a Chiropractor. I made that dream a reality by attending Life University, where I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. During my time there, I got involved in various on-campus clubs, teaching and supporting my peers, which fueled my passion for helping others.

My chiropractic journey began in the peaceful Blue Ridge Mountains, where I initially focused on sport-specific care. Over time, I transitioned to a family practice, welcoming everyone from newborns to their skeptical grandparents. This shift allowed me to appreciate the broader impact of chiropractic care on family health. When I had the chance to join my now-wife in a pediatric-specific practice in Asheville, I jumped at it. I moved to Asheville, proposed to her, and now I'm living my dream of running my own practice.

"My mission is to make the Asheville community healthier and happier through chiropractic care and exercise."

"I love helping families achieve their health goals, focusing on nervous system health and teaching them how to take care of themselves."

When I'm not in the clinic, you can find me exploring new places, hiking forest trails, camping, and enjoying time by the lake.

Dr. Marielis Beckner

Hola! I’m Dr. Marielis. I am a chiropractor and have the privilege of working with my husband Dr. Zach. I was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico (and yes, I speak Spanish!). My father joined the Navy and so I had the chance to live in some neat places throughout my childhood. The spirit of travel never left me and I’ve had the privilege to see and do some amazing things like hike El Camino de Santiago, see the summit of Machu Picchu, and drive the green coasts of Ireland. I believe travel is integral to fully appreciating life and having a rooted sense of gratitude. I was very happy however, to finally settle down in the great city of Asheville and serve the community here. The Blue Ridge mountains were calling, what can I say.

I made the decision to become a chiropractor and sign up for school without ever having visited a chiropractor before. Some people found that crazy, but to me it was one of the easiest decisions I ever made. The philosophy of chiropractic made so much sense to me. The body can heal itself, it just needs no interference. The nervous system is the master controller of all functions and if it is fully communicating with the body and adapting efficiently, in theory you should be functioning at 100% and thriving. It does not require fancy tools; we can use just our hands to help people. I said “Where do I sign?”. Throughout school I grew a love for working with the pediatric population and pregnant women, even though I truly enjoy seeing the whole family. Personally, chiropractic has been the gift that keeps giving, and I am so eager to share this gift with all of you, my fellow WNC community.
